CRM Exit separates ownership from operation. You can control the infrastructure directly or pay Move Big Rocks to operate it.

## Self-hosted MBR

- Move Big Rocks software under the terms stated in the proposal;
- customer-chosen infrastructure;
- documented deployment and updates;
- complete data export;
- optional premium extensions;
- optional support.

Customer responsibilities normally include capacity, database operation, backups, monitoring, upgrades, security maintenance, email/object storage, incident response, and support unless separately contracted.

## Managed MBR

Managed scope can include:

- hosting or operation in customer cloud;
- managed database;
- backups and restoration tests;
- updates/security patches;
- monitoring and alerting;
- object storage and malware scanning;
- email delivery integration;
- support and SLA;
- export/handover process.

## Proof versus production

MBR may demonstrate useful workloads on inexpensive compute. Production architecture depends on availability, recovery, security, storage, email, scanning, workload, and support requirements. The complete production business case includes all of these costs.

## Portable by design

The managed proposal defines how a customer can receive data, configuration, included extensions, runbooks, and handover assistance. Customers pay for operation and value, not captivity.
